How to connect your SPOT satellite messenger with your Sailing Blog?
Connecting your SPOT satellite messenger with our TripSailor sailing blog is simple.
It requires you only to copy an special email address from your sailing blog settings to the SPOT messenger settings.
The required steps are described in detail in the following howto. These steps assume, that you have already activated your SPOT device on www.findmespot.com.
1. Get the special email address for your sailing blog
First you need to find out the special email address that is unique to your blog. To get this special email address log-in to TripSailor and click on Trip Settings on the left menu of your sailing blog. Then select the item Mobile Settings to view the special email address. Any email that is sent to this address will be routed to your sailing blog. Write down this email address or copy it into the clipboard.
2. Edit your Findmespot Message Profile
Next, log in to www.findmespot.com with your Findmespot-account. Then go to "Messengers" - and then "Message Profiles"
Click Edit and you will see all your settings for SPOT messages. In the first section - Check In you can enter the Ok/Check message. This is the message that comes every time you press the OK Button on your SPOT device.
Just below this message you have a link which says "Add an email address".
Click this link and enter the email address of your sailing blog and press OK.
Note: Every sailing blog has an own email address - so just be sure that you have entered the email address of your current sailing trip and delete the old ones.
Press the SAVE Button in the upper right corner and you're done.
Your SPOT device is now connected with your sailing blog and every reported location will show up on your tripmap.
